General Government Revenue
General Government Revenue
Revenue includes taxes, social contributions, grants, and other income streams that enhance a government’s net worth—the difference between its assets and liabilities (GFSM 2001, paragraph 4.20). It is important to note that transactions altering only the balance sheet composition, such as the sale of assets or the assumption of new liabilities, do not impact net worth.
