Gross Domestic Product

GDP values are expressed in national currency and converted to U.S. dollars using annual average market exchange rates. Exchange rate projections for emerging market and developing economies are determined by country economists, while rates for advanced economies are set based on WEO assumptions during each WEO exercise. Expenditure-based GDP represents the total final expenditures at purchaser prices, including the f.o.b. value of exports, minus the f.o.b. value of imports of goods and services.
